In the future, I watch way too much British television.

After notabuddhist started filling my dash with Modern Family, I cracked out my season 2 disks again (I haven’t seen season 1. For some reason my dad gave me season 2, but not season 1. He probably gave one of my other sisters season 1, because that sounds like something he would do).
I just watched this episode. I laughed a lot.

Ladies of color in period dramas

When I reblogged this lovely picspam, I noticed (and notabuddhist pointed out) how white our classic period drama protagonists tend to be. This is my awkward response to that observation, a celebration of ladies of color in period dramas. (Mostly awkward because my photoshop skills are close to nil). I think all of these actresses are amazing, but I can’t vouch for the quality of all of these films/shows, as I haven’t seen all of them.
In short, hooray for women of color in our costume dramas! Please have more of them in the future.
